okay, technically, this is not really a synth.. but for those of you out there who remember all the silly fun you can have with beat slicing, this is just too much..

i am so totally going to get this up and running in mhy system. the product i used back in the day was recycle. i think it was a steinberg product.

half of me wants to get a laptop just to run linux and cart this shit around. ok.. that may be a little excessive, but i would be you could totally get a laptop and run linux on it for about the cost of reason or reaktor.

dammit.. i am not going to do it.. but i am gonna think about it alot… that’s for sure..

okay, i installed rosegarden, got it compiled, but i keep getting all sorts of errors having to do with the sequencer device. i am sure i just need to install something else (a synth maybe?) to get this thing working. but i will press on..

maybe there is some sort of sequencer i need to add to my fc3 setup.

for the dorks out there, here is the error i am getting…

ALSA lib seq_hw.c:446:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory

more news (hopefully good) later..
