Linux Music and Sound How to Install, Configure, and Use Linux Audio Software by Dave Phillips

i picked up a copy of this on amazon yesterday for four bucks. i figger that even if it turns out to be a flop, i will have only lost four bucks. and even so, there has to be some good info in there somehwere..

open call - what distro are people using for linux music?

i currently have a fedora core 3 installation, runnning as a server.. but i have another machine i can install a separate distro on to play with.

anyone who has any info would be my buddy ol pal.

i built this blog as a clearinghouse for all thing involved in making music and sound with linux. that’s really it. i don’t plan on covering alot do to with capturing sound in linux as it is my take that sound capture is really voodoo science and art that really has nothing to do with linux or computers. nor can you learn this stuff by reading posts on the net. this site is about making/syntesizing sounds and music only. i’ll leave the recording and the engineering to the pros.
