stolen sidekick

“to me, it look like a sidekick, to me…”

okay, for all of you who spent hours following the phony powerbook story.. here is another one that in know you’ll love.. just a taste…

  • girl leaves sidekick in taxi
  • boy finds phone and gives it to hoochie sister..
  • sister logs with her account, and takes photos of ugly people
  • within hours, people figure out who they are..
  • in true hoochie fashion, they deny all..
  • the site is updated (so far) every few hours..

must see for all you kiddies.. let me know what you think!

fake? real? yes, i wonder..

okay, for those of you who have myspace accounts, and have had them for awhile..

for those of us who are older than 25 or so, and know what is REALLY going on, i am sure that this little flick reflects what we all know is REALLY going on here.. especially the photo scene..

this rocks!

i thought this list was interesting in that 32 (Leaonard Sweet) on this list is one of our clients. very cool.. but one of the funnier entries on this list was paul crouch jr. (29) maybe i am talking out of turn, but i remember seeing him in the 70’s on tbn (i think it was.. it was one of those channels.) and he would give his take on the presence of satan in music and pop culture at the time… his big things were back masking and dungeons and dragons. he is pretty much the reason i spent HOURS playing my records backwards.. the mustache tells me his views haven’t changed much since then.

i also remember seeing a story of a girl that was in bondage to satan. i guess the devil appeared in real life and dangled her over a cliff or something. she was a witch or wiccan or pagan turned jesus freak. it was my first exposure to crazy chicks.

although i can’t remember her name, she is the reason i spent a good deal of my youth chasing around crazy chicks. i do think her name had two syllables. i also bet five bucks she smelled like patchoulli..

25 - rob bell.. i have seen most of his NOOMA films. they rock the house. if i was gonna pick a faith, these guys deal would probably persuade a guy like me..

i like rob bell because he talks to guys like me. we take care of our business. we’re not hooked on drugs. we aren’t selling our bodies into porn for crack. we are just normal guys..

that is the stance that turned me off to most of the preaching pack. call me jaded, but i don’t really care about drug dealers, gangsters, prisoners, and prostitutes. they are all part of our society, but not a part that i want, need, or have time to deal with.

the problem i had with most approaches to christianity was that they would say something like:

see, even if you are a turd with a side of poop, and you are hooked on drugs and sell your butt to the dirty neighbor guy for coke, jesus will still love you..

well.. frankly.. who cares? that is not my world.. let’s hear something meaningful from someone in my world.

rob bell seems to fit that bill.

50 - dr. phil.. okay, i admit it.. when i turn on the tv before the simpsons at 6, i will flick to dr. phil to see what is up in the world of numbskulls. i like dr. phil MUCH better than jerRY! as the rejects on dr. phil’s show seem very real, and not staged. they are most likely staged, but for the time being, he is fooling me.

lydia taylor

file this under: you go girl!

although it was under duress, i can say that i spent around ten years under lydia’s flag. the church and i never saw eye to eye, but it was not really for fundamental differences, it was more that she had a target demographic that i was not a part of.

it was almost like i was a different kind of game than the game she was hunting.

but, i can tell you that this article is accurate, and non embellished. i can tell you that because i was there. i can tell you she was a good lady. i can tell you that although our views were completely different, she never waivered.. i think we agreed to disagree…

and i can tell you that the places she talks about in the article are in fact the scariest and most dangerous places on earth.. not that there is a contest.. but you are in just as much danger there than anywhere else that is horrible..

i used to go to those places as a kid out of curiosity.. these days, i would never go back to the bad areas.. just because it is too dangerous.. unless someone i knew wanted the best lunch ever (in la colonia)

but.. lydia, if you ever wonder.. i am proud of you..

i do miss some of those people..

the bautista clan - especially david and liz.. sorry i was so hard to deal with..

nini and cindy - you guys rocked..

joe r. - what are you doing these days, stretch?

steve n. - what about you? what are you doing these days?

bobby - you still play piano?

nishi and tonia - you guys still hangin in there?

arnie n. - where are you these days?

if you recognize your name there, drop me a line..

okay.. the geek in me is really intrigued with this. i saw this in an article on linux journal this week, and i have been wanting to fiddle with this for a long time now. the illest would be if you could hook this up to my blackberry. i seem to get closer and closer with this stuff, but i am just never close enough to being THERE. you know, a system that works on:

  • your laptop
  • your home computer
  • your PDA (blackberry in my case)
  • your work computer

maybe seemless integration is just a silly wet dream, but i think moving back to the realm of text editors might be the way to keep my shizzle in order, and satisfy my geek lust..

Here we go again..

i am pretty sure (or at least i hope) that this will be the last time i will have to mess with this thing. i have finallly moved it over to the new site, after being severely limited in the past. i will try to track down some of my older entries and put them up, too.. but we’ll just have to see..
