lydia taylor

file this under: you go girl!

although it was under duress, i can say that i spent around ten years under lydia’s flag. the church and i never saw eye to eye, but it was not really for fundamental differences, it was more that she had a target demographic that i was not a part of.

it was almost like i was a different kind of game than the game she was hunting.

but, i can tell you that this article is accurate, and non embellished. i can tell you that because i was there. i can tell you she was a good lady. i can tell you that although our views were completely different, she never waivered.. i think we agreed to disagree…

and i can tell you that the places she talks about in the article are in fact the scariest and most dangerous places on earth.. not that there is a contest.. but you are in just as much danger there than anywhere else that is horrible..

i used to go to those places as a kid out of curiosity.. these days, i would never go back to the bad areas.. just because it is too dangerous.. unless someone i knew wanted the best lunch ever (in la colonia)

but.. lydia, if you ever wonder.. i am proud of you..

i do miss some of those people..

the bautista clan - especially david and liz.. sorry i was so hard to deal with..

nini and cindy - you guys rocked..

joe r. - what are you doing these days, stretch?

steve n. - what about you? what are you doing these days?

bobby - you still play piano?

nishi and tonia - you guys still hangin in there?

arnie n. - where are you these days?

if you recognize your name there, drop me a line..

    Talk about reconnection!

I read Sergio’s shout-out to people from “back home” and it makes me think how it’s good for us to reach back and pull certain things back into the present. People who look more respectable than they did back then. Exper…
